Each utterance goes to typemic.com over an encrypted connection, is transcribed by TypeMic's own Predator engine on Cloudflare's global network, certified to ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2 Type II and PCI DSS, typed at your cursor, and discarded immediately: no voice logs, no training on your words, and the app shows a notice at every start so nothing about the mode is silent.

TypeMic recognizes English today, and accuracy is measured on our own benchmark before a model ships. Strong accents and noisy rooms lower accuracy for any recognizer; a headset microphone helps, and because the text lands at your cursor you can review it before you send.

No. Transcription does the heavy lifting on TypeMic's own endpoint, on Cloudflare's global infrastructure, load-balanced across numerous nodes worldwide: benchmarked at 0.9 seconds from release to text, and about a second at any dictation length, so the app stays light on your machine. Any modern 64-bit CPU is enough; no GPU is needed.

Most dictation tools route your voice through third-party clouds and keep it. TypeMic keeps nothing, dictations are processed by our own Predator engine and immediately discarded, with no voice logs and no training on your words, and the whole stack is engineered in Rust, privacy by design, by a team with 20+ years securing enterprise organizations.
